Common questions

When is the AGM due for a 31 March year end?

The annual general meeting must be held within six months of the financial year end, so a company with a 31 March 2026 year end must hold its AGM by 30 September 2026. A company’s first AGM after incorporation follows a different timeline.

When is AOC-4 due?

Within 30 days of the AGM. If the AGM is not held, the filing runs from the last day the AGM should have been held, and the delay itself is a separate default.

When is MGT-7 due?

The annual return in MGT-7 (MGT-7A for OPCs and small companies) is filed within 60 days of the AGM.

What does a late AOC-4 or MGT-7 cost?

A government additional fee of ₹100 a day per form from the due date, with no upper limit. The late fee calculator shows the amount for any date.
